Our General Manager, Yağmur Eroğlu, Moderated the TGDF Sustainable Plastic Packaging Practices Workshop

Our General Manager, Yağmur Eroğlu, moderated the "Production and Traceability" panel at the Sustainable Plastic Packaging Practices Workshop organized by the Turkish Food and Beverage Industry Association (TGDF). During this important event, she shared the stage with Mr. Paolo Glerean, President of RecyClass, and Mr. İlker Önder, Factory Manager at Tanrıkulu Plastik, who also spoke as panelists.

The main topics discussed in the panel were:

• Traceability and third-party independent certification processes for food-contact recycled plastics, as well as ongoing efforts in Turkey and Europe.
• The need for the establishment of a "Local Authority" in line with the EU 2022/1616 regulation and the latest developments on this matter.

Additionally, information was shared about technological investments made for food-safe PET recycling in Turkey. These investments highlight the sector’s commitment to sustainability, demonstrating significant steps to reduce environmental impacts and improve the effectiveness of recycling processes.

This panel provided a valuable opportunity for industry professionals to share knowledge and develop new perspectives. Our General Manager, Yağmur Eroğlu, emphasized the importance of organizing more such events to address developments in sustainability and the future of the industry.
