CERTILOOP was invited to Dubai
CERTILOOP Invited to the Dubai International Food Safety Conference
Hosted by Dubai Municipality, the 19th Dubai International Food Safety Conference (DIFSC – Dubai International Food Safety Conference) brought together public authorities, industry representatives, and international experts in the fields of food safety, packaging, recycling, and regulatory compliance. CERTILOOP participated in the conference as an official guest of Dubai Municipality, with the aim of developing collaborations with Gulf countries in the areas of recycling certification and traceability.
The primary purpose of CERTILOOP’s invitation to the conference was to evaluate certification services capable of addressing the growing needs of Gulf countries—particularly regarding recycled plastics intended for food contact—as well as traceability and compliance with international regulations, and to strengthen regional cooperation. Within this framework, CERTILOOP shared its technical expertise and internationally recognized certification programs with competent authorities and industry stakeholders across the Gulf region.
In the paper presented during the conference, key topics included the importance of traceability in recycled plastics intended for food contact, reliable certification requirements throughout the supply chain, and certification approaches aligned with EU legislation. It was emphasized that CERTILOOP operates one of only two accredited programs worldwide offering traceability certification based on EN 15343 and ISO 22095, and that this competence plays a critical role in supporting the developing regulatory infrastructure and international trade requirements of Gulf countries.
In this context, CERTILOOP presented case examples demonstrating that it already provides certification services to companies operating in the United Arab Emirates and across the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council that export to Europe. In line with increasing regulatory expectations in the fields of food safety, packaging, and recycling across the Gulf region, it was stated that CERTILOOP aims to expand its certification and traceability services tailored to regional needs.
While the Dubai International Food Safety Conference served as an important platform for CERTILOOP to develop sustainable and long-term collaborations with Gulf countries, it also contributed to strengthening the company’s position as a reliable solution partner providing internationally recognized certification services across Europe, the Middle East, and the Gulf region.
